Everything You Do Does Matter

It's true some days can last forever,
And years can slip quickly away,
But remember that after every night
Comes a bright new, hopeful day.

Help a stranger, who may be in need,
True kindness acts without thought.
You may be the rainbow in their dark skies,
The kindness that they've long sought.

It doesn't matter how big or small,
Or how insignificant or grand,
Everything you do does matter,
When you reach out a helping hand.

It's simply enough to smile and wave,
you don't have to walk on the sea.
If someone says something that you don't like,
It's okay to disagree.

One simple act can make someone's day,
Even if you aren't aware.
Everything you do does matter,
Because kind acts are kind of rare.
